This is different, these birds lay their eggs in the rocks,if you find them you are lucky because they blend in they are left in the sun all day and she comes back at night, if she is on the nest and you get close she takes off running flapping her wings like she is hurt so you will follow her, one year I watched the eggs everyday and saw the babies when they were born they are gone within a couple of hours, the bird is a kildeer funny how they do that.   1. We have these in the country. The adults will play 'broken wing' when you come close to the nest. They will run away dragging one wing and people will follow thinking they can help. Then when the person is far enough from the nest, the parent bird will fly back!
