  4. Both our desktop and my laptop caught that, once I started getting those Spyware detected messages it was down hill from there. The desk top, we were able to put it back like the way it comes when new but it lack the Windows program, meaning I can't pretty much do anything. We found a loop hole and we can use the internet. My laptop is still dead.

  8. that's a weird kind of spyware.. bugs crawling all over the screen.. hmmm..

aw, sorry to hear this happened to the pc. hmmm, if its indeed a spyware, the best solution i could suggest and think of is, a complete reformat. sometimes, there's really no guarantee that you're totally free of spyware even if you've already installed an anti spy. based on personal xp, it doesn't really work effectively all the time.

just my two cents ^_^ hope you get to fix that pc soon!

  12. OH GOD!!! I had this (minus the bugs on the screen) 2 months ago I think. It might have been slightly different because I was able to get to the desktop and all my programs.

Luckily it was my work laptop so I was able to bring to the IT department to fix. They basically had to reformat/wipe my computer clean and start me over. It totally sucked because I lost all of my personal things on the computer. I have learned to back up files frequently.

If you have the Windows recovery disks from when you first bought the computer that should help.

    Good luck!

  13. I've heard of this happening before to a friend of mine a few months back. He was able to utilize his startup disk to save his computer, but unfortunately he lost everything else.

    Major bummer.
